In this quickstart, you will learn how to use Squidify System (Vision) to create a vision system for vision inspections.
Prerequisites:
To access Squidify System, you will need to install Squidify Application, licensed from Squidify, and have a user account. If you do not already have it, download the application here and contact us before you begin.
Step 1: Create a camera channel
To create a camera channel, you may not require a physical industrial camera connected to your system. Please note that you are able to create up to 4 channels for a system. If you already have a physical camera, you will have the capture image and live viewing function automatically available. For users without a physical camera, you can use "Browse Image" button to load your image into the system.
Step 2: Create an inspection sequence
An inspection sequence contains inspection tools to perform image processing. The system run inspection sequences to achieve output results.
Step 3: Add inspection tools for the inspection sequence.
There are up to 50 inspection tools at this moment for users to achieve their results such as matching, measurements, cosmetic inspections, localization (coordination), reading barcode & data-code, and many more.
Once you have finished with the setup inspection sequence, click "the execute button".
Coming next
Camera channels, inspection sequences, and inspection tools are saved at the moment you add them into the system. Users are also able to remove and edit these items at any time. We will continue to update this blog with new features and inspection tools to improve application performance. Have you tried Squidify System vision? Did you find it useful?
